Deck The Hall

On Saturday, December 13, 2008, the Élan Circle of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League will present its 20th annual children’s holiday concert Deck the Hall – A Celebration of Music for Children. We are thrilled that Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling recording artist and Dallas native Lisa Loeb will headline. Lisa’s latest album is Camp Lisa, a collection of traditional summer camp favorites and brand new tunes that Los Angeles Parent Magazine called “...enjoyable as a freshly made s’more.” It is the follow up to her award-winning debut children’s CD and companion book Catch the Moon. Her high-profile stature and strong following in Dallas are certain to make this the biggest Deck the Hall ever! The Booker T. Washington High School Orchestra will open the concert, emceed by Meredith Land of NBC 5. Learn more...

Image   This magical event will be held at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and will raise money to support the education and community engagement programs of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, which will benefit over 75,000 young people in North Texas this year. In addition, Élan Circle will donate a number of Deck the Hall concert tickets to local children’s charities so that children who might not otherwise be able to attend can experience the joy of Deck the Hall.

Prior to the concert, tickets are available for a special Breakfast with Santa with a private concert by last years headliner Joe McDermott. After Breakfast the lobby will open up with entertainment, including musical performances by local children, pictures with Santa Claus, art and crafts, clowns and magicians!

Mark your calendars, spread the word, and plan to bring your whole family and friends to Deck the Hall 2008!
